Overview

Jennifer Muse is an associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment department. She focuses her practice on employment counseling and litigation, and assists in wage and hour compliance.

  • Defends charges brought against employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state civil rights departments
  • Advises employers with federal contract compliance, including developing affirmative action programs and meeting reporting requirements
  • Drafts and reviews employment contracts and severance agreements, including noncompete agreements
  • Assists in advising employers on drafting and implementing work rules, policies, procedures, and employee handbooks that will appropriately match the employers’ specific business goals
  • Aids in various stages of state and federal litigation, including responding to complaints, drafting discovery requests and responses, and crafting dispositive motions
  • Assists in counseling clients on wage and hour matters under state and federal laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act
