Overview
Michael is an associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment department. He focuses his practice on employment counseling, litigation, and strategic workforce planning.
Michael represents employers in various stages of state and federal non-compete and trade secret litigation, including drafting and responding to complaints, securing injunctions, drafting discovery requests and responses, crafting dispositive motions, and assisting in arbitrations. He also assists employers with resolving charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state civil rights departments and defending against state and federal wage and hour lawsuits.
Outside of dispute resolution, Michael provides employers with results-driven day-to-day employment advice and drafts practical work rules, policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to support employers’ specific business goals. He also assists Honigman’s M&A deal teams with labor and employment matters, including negotiating restrictive covenants for sellers of businesses.
Michael is a member of Honigman’s summer associate committee.
