Global Experience and Capabilities

Our team includes attorneys who speak Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese and have lived, traveled, studied, and/or worked in China, Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea. Our familiarity with Asia’s legal and regulatory regimes, and knowledge of the complex cultural and business customs and practices of the countries in the region greatly enhance our ability to communicate and work effectively with our clients.

We handle procurement of patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and protection of trade secrets for client portfolios worldwide, including search, registration, enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, litigation, and a range of transactional work involving intellectual property rights, including asserting and defending against intellectual property actions. We offer a wide range of intellectual property services to large, mid-size, and small businesses around the world. We assist foreign clients in extending protection for intellectual property rights developed in their home countries to the U.S. market and assist U.S. clients in securing U.S. and global protection of intellectual property rights.

We are a leader in middle-market business acquisition and disposition, both domestically and internationally. Our corporate attorneys were counsel on more than 475 such transactions that closed in 2019 at an aggregate value of $16.4 billion.
