Overview
Gabriel Bedoya is a litigation attorney who concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation matters related to private equity litigation, securities litigation, and government investigations.
- Represents private equity firms and their portfolio companies in derivative litigation, mergers and acquisitions litigation, and corporate internal investigations, with a particular focus on litigation and dispute resolution arising out of the purchase or sale of a company’s assets or stock and other liquidity events
- Represents public and privately held companies in shareholder disputes, including minority oppression, criminal or civil fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract
- Represents companies and individuals in contract disputes, supply chain litigation, business torts, class action defense, and other high stakes litigation
- Represents companies and individuals in matters connected to internal investigations and government investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission
- Serves as the firm’s Assistant Hiring Partner for Associates and Summer Associates
- Serves as co-leader of Honigman’s Emerging Companies Group

Representative Matters
- Represented shareholders in a variety of industries in both prosecuting and defending claims of minority oppression, breach of fiduciary duty, and related shareholder claims
- Represented clients in numerous commercial disputes, including contract claims, misappropriation of trade secrets claims, and real estate disputes
- Obtained dismissal of international federal contract dispute involving automotive industry suppliers
- Successfully represented homebuilder in minority oppression suit filed against his co-founders and achieved a highly favorable settlement on first day of trial
- Successfully represented individual in an SEC investigation arising from a referral from FINRA
- Successfully defended nationwide restaurant chain in class action litigation alleging false advertising and negligence; won dismissal of all claims via successive motions for summary disposition
