Overview
Katarina Vickovic concentrates her practice on advising a variety of healthcare providers and businesses involved in the healthcare industry in a broad range of practice areas including healthcare regulatory, corporate, and transactional matters.
As a healthcare attorney, Katarina performs due diligence in connection with affiliations, mergers, acquisitions and sales transactions. She also guides clients with regard to state licensure, permits, accreditation and Medicaid enrollment, and corresponds with state regulators in connection with state-licensing matters. Katarina is experienced in navigating Medicare enrollment 855 applications on behalf of hospitals and other healthcare providers and also drafts and manages provider Medicare reimbursement appeals for health systems and individual hospitals. She skillfully assists clients in navigating complex compliance matters, including HIPAA and state fee splitting statutes.
Katarina also assists with captive insurance matters. She has experience with captive insurance company formation in various domiciles, drafts governance documents for captive insurance clients and prepares related resolutions and other corporate filings. Katarina also reviews corporate and insurance agreements in connection with ongoing operations, mergers, acquisitions and sales transactions for captive insurance clients.
