Overview
Jonathan Block has a national real estate practice and, for more than 28 years, has represented a wide range of real estate owners, operators, investors, lenders, and users in transactions across asset classes. His clients include owners and operators of shopping centers, industrial and office properties, cannabis and hospitality assets, and residential developments, as well as privately held real estate firms and other real estate-focused businesses throughout the United States.
Jonathan represents clients in acquisitions, dispositions, and financings; construction and development matters; joint ventures; and leasing for both landlords and tenants. He also has significant experience with loan originations and restructurings, regularly working with lenders, servicers, and special servicers on mortgage and other real estate-secured financings. In addition, his practice includes advising on condominium projects and cannabis-related real estate matters, helping clients navigate the structuring, regulatory, and financing issues that arise in those contexts.
Jonathan is a Fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and serves as a member of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys opinion committee, reflecting his depth of experience in mortgage financing and related opinion practice.
