He represents developers and operators in the retail, office, multi-family, manufactured housing and hospitality sectors, and has extensive experienced in the structuring of complex commercial real estate financing transactions, including CMBS loans with multiple layers of debt, and short term bridge loans secured by transitional assets. Elias also counsels clients in connection with the acquisition and disposition of triple net lease properties, retail shopping centers, office properties, boutique and flagged hotels, manufactured housing communities and apartment complexes.

  • Represented public REIT in connection with the acquisition of various portfolios of credit tenant triple net lease properties

  • Represented manufactured housing developer in connection with the acquisition of a portfolio of communities with an aggregate value in excess of $100 million

  • Represented Detroit-based company in the negotiation of a $30 million CMBS loan to refinance its corporate headquarters

  • Closed the origination of a $20 million construction loan financing the development of a shopping center located in Lansing, Michigan

  • Represented bridge lender in connection with the origination of a mortgage loan secured by a leasehold interest in a portfolio of apartment complexes in Columbus, Ohio

  • Counseled a regional bank in connection with the workout and restructuring of mortgage loans secured by a various office and multi-family assets

  • Represented hotel REIT in the financing and acquisition of boutique hotels located in New York City and Naples, Florida
