Honigman welcomes five new attorneys

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) is pleased to announce the addition of five new Attorneys in its Detroit office, four of whom were Summer Associates at the firm in 2010. All five Attorneys sat for the Michigan bar exam in July and anticipate admission in November.

PHILIP DESAI joins Honigman’s Corporate and Securities Department. He received a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Desai also earned two B.A.s, one in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Sciences, and one in Sociology, from the University of Michigan. During his undergraduate years, he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and in the Department of Neurology.

BETH J. KERWIN joins Honigman’s Litigation Department. She received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and a BA, with high distinction, in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Kerwin was a summer legal intern in the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division in 2009.

ANTHONY W. RANDAZZO joins Honigman’s Real Estate Department. He received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A., with distinction, in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Before law school, Randazzo worked as a supervisor for the construction and development of new homes and as a real estate sales agent. He holds a State of Michigan Real Estate Salesperson License and a Residential Builders License.

KELSEY SWITZER joins Honigman’s Commercial Law, Bankruptcy and Reorganization Department. She received a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law; an M.A. from Florida International University in Latin American and Caribbean Studies; and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies and in Spanish. Switzer served as a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Mark A. Randon at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District in 2010.

JOSHUA S. WEINBERG joins Honigman’s Corporate and Securities Department. Josh received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A., summa cum laude, in English Literature from Yeshiva University. While in law school, Weinberg interned for Chief Judge Donetta W. Ambrose at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
