Honigman Strengthens Privacy Protection Capabilities

Honigman has expanded its team of professionals who have earned certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the world’s largest and most comprehensive privacy organization.

“There is increasing pressure on businesses to comply with complex and far-reaching privacy protection laws,” said Michael P. Hindelang, co-leader of Honigman’s Data Security and Privacy Litigation practice. “The rigorous IAPP privacy certifications deepen our bench to even better counsel clients on managing privacy requirements, while still enabling optimal business performance.” 

Five Honigman attorneys and the firm’s new Litigation Support Manager, Cindy MacBean, collectively have earned eight certifications covering the U.S. or Europe, including:

The IAPP certifications are accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under the Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 17024:2012.
