Overview

Vikram Mathrani is a highly experienced intellectual property and technology litigator and corporate IP lawyer. Vikram is well-versed in many technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, medical devices, chemicals, electronics, consumer products, software, and industrial products.

Vikram litigates biotechnology and Hatch-Waxman patent cases through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial to appeal. He also represents clients in proceedings before the USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board and in front of the International Trade Commission (ITC). Vikram also enforces clients’ trademark, trade dress, and trade secret rights. 

Vikram is highly experienced in corporate transactions and licensing and regularly performs IP and corporate due diligence for complex deals.  Vikram also advises clients on pharmaceutical and biotechnology product development and release strategy at the intersection of patent and FDA law.

Before Honigman, Vikram was a litigator at Ropes & Gray, and before that he was an engineer at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  He graduated cum laude from Northwestern Law and holds a chemical and biomolecular engineering degree from Cornell University, where he was an NCAA Division I runner.
