Overview

Leanna R. Simon is the firm’s Director of Research and Knowledge Management. She is charged with managing the research, knowledge management, and business operations of the firm. As creator of the firm’s knowledge management program, she responsible for execution, training, and advising attorneys with best practices across all practice areas. Ms. Simon champions legal disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, as well as develops practical, effective lawyer and client facing knowledge management systems.

Ms. Simon is active in the law library and knowledge management communities and currently sits as the chair of the Private Law Librarians and Information Professionals (PLLIP) Strategic Directions Committee and member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Leadership Development Committee. In the past, she has taken on roles that include President of the Michigan Association of Law Libraries (MichALL), Chair of the Emerging Leader Award Jury (AALL), Treasurer of the PLLIP Executive Board, and Chair of the Grants and Scholarship Awards for PLLIP. She has presented and spoken on various topics pertinent to the legal research community, including ESG trends.

Ms. Simon received her M.L.I.S. from Wayne State University in Detroit and B.A. in Biological Anthropology from the University of Michigan. She is a Certified Knowledge Manager from the Knowledge Management Institute in Washington D.C.
