Overview

Ken Vermeulen is a partner in Honigman's real estate department, with a primary focus on real estate and environmental law. He has extensive experience in a variety of real estate matters and focuses his practice on leasing, transactional, construction contracting, and environmental law matters.

  • Drafts and negotiates terms for the purchase and sale of real estate, manages due diligence process, prepares closing documents and attends to closings.
  • Drafts and negotiates construction-related contracts on a wide variety of commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the country.
  • Drafts and negotiates leases for various commercial and industrial uses.
  • Represents clients on a variety of environmental matters, including investigation and remediation of contaminated sites throughout the country, and environmental due diligence in connection with real property leases and acquisitions.
  • General counsel to the Michigan Aggregates Association, and represents numerous sand, gravel and limestone producers with respect to permitting, real estate and environmental matters.
  • Provides advice regarding compliance and permitting under state and federal environmental statutes and regulations.
