Overview
Ken Goldstein focuses his practice on wealth preservation and advises individuals and business owners on nearly every aspect of their estate and tax planning needs. He combines his knowledge of federal, state, and local tax and proactive planning strategies to help business owners and wealthy families maximize the value of their estates and align their charitable endeavors with their philanthropic goals. Ken works with clients to develop income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning strategies; craft plans for businesses with diverse interests, including real estate and non-cash assets; and maximize the impact of charitable efforts, including forming and administering foundations.
Ken provides the full range of estate and tax planning solutions including income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning; wills and trusts; taxpayer representation in income, estate, and gift tax audits; planning for owners of closely-held businesses with diverse interests, including real estate and a variety of other non-cash assets; operating and shareholder agreements, buy/sell arrangements and succession planning; multi-generational wealth planning, including creditor protection; charitable planning, including charitable trusts, donor advised funds, and public and private foundation set-up and administration; utilization of non-profit vehicles; and art law.
Prior to joining the firm, Ken was a partner in the Trust and Estates Group at HMB Legal Counsel (which merged into Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP).
