Joel Krugel is a real estate attorney who counsels shopping center, office building, and apartment complex owners and operators in acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. He represents national banking associations, private finance companies, securitized lending corporations, and other institutional lenders in connection with a wide variety of commercial financing transactions, including secured and unsecured lines of credit, real estate mortgage loans, construction loans for office buildings, shopping centers, apartments complexes and industrial developments, land development and revolving construction loans for subdivision and condominium projects, and interim bridge loans.

  • Advises real estate developers and others in joint ventures, syndications, and investment fund creation
  • Negotiates leases, REAs, and similar documentation in connection with the representation of shopping center developers who have a nationwide portfolio of regional malls and power centers
  • Handles major tenant leasing for shopping centers, office buildings, and other commercial developments
  • Counsels shopping center clients involved in or in dealing with publicly held real estate investment trusts
  • Advises and represents individuals and business clients in joint venture arrangements, debt and equity financing, and real estate financing through mortgage and other secured and asset-based lending
