Overview

Eric Sosenko is an intellectual property attorney with more than 25 years of experience focusing his practice on patent and trademark procurement, product and mark clearance, and related transactions. He has a vast understanding of U.S. and foreign patent and trademark law, including extensive experience in international protection under multinational treaties.

  • Represents large domestic and foreign companies, as well as local start-ups and second-stage companies in a wide variety of technical fields, including mechanical, electromechanical, medical, and material arts
  • Counsels clients on the strategic implementation and management of domestic and international intellectual property portfolios
  • Drafts and prosecutes patents in a variety of technical areas, including automotive technology; compressors, evaporators, and related systems; manufacturing, molding, and packaging machinery; consumer products; sporting goods; plastic containers; medical devices; glazing technology processes; plasma coating; injection molding (plastics and semi-solid metals) and blow molding; and fluid handling
  • Renders freedom-to-operate, noninfringement, and validity opinions of varying analytical depth and complexity
  • Prepares guidance and risk assessment in connection with design around strategies to avoid infringement
  • Counsels clients on trademark selection and branding for new products and services
