Arik Hirschfeld

Arik focuses on advising emerging and established investment managers, including private fund managers, exempt reporting advisers and family offices on the Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, Commodity Exchange Act and related federal securities laws and regulations. 

Arik practice encompasses a wide range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters, including:

• Structure, formation, operation, marketing and private offering requirements of private funds, including private equity, credit, venture capital and hedge fund products.
• Investment adviser registration, exemptions, ongoing compliance requirements and risk mitigation.
• SEC examinations and enforcement investigations.
• M&A transactions involving asset managers.
• Regulatory disclosures and filings, including Form ADV, Form CRS, Form PF, Schedule 13D, Schedule 13G, Form 13F, Form 13H, and Treasury International Capital (TIC) and Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) filings.

Applying his knowledge of US federal securities laws, Arik works with executives and other legal, compliance, operations, and business personnel to support successful business initiatives and ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory standards.

Prior to joining Honigman, Arik had extensive private practice and in-house experience. Arik has served as Chief Compliance Officer to hedge funds, private equity real estate and private credit asset managers with responsibility for managing advisory compliance programs and regulatory risk.
