Ronald E. Whitney Joins Honigman As Partner

Ronald E. Whitney recently joined Detroit-based law firm Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, as partner with the firm's Corporate and Securities Law department.  

Whitney comes to Honigman from Ford Motor Company (Ford) in Dearborn, where he has been Counsel in Mergers and Acquisitions Transactions at the Ford Office of General Counsel for the last five years.  His practice at Ford included general experience in corporate business and tax law, with a strong entrepreneurial focus. 

Prior to joining Ford, Whitney worked in New York as an associate attorney at Cahilll, Gordon & Reindel for three years and at Cravath, Swaine & Moore for five years.  

Whitney received his LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 1991, his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1988, his M.B.A. from George Washington University in 1978, and his B.Sc. from the University of Nebraska in 1973.  Whitney resides with his family in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
