Honigman Partner J. Patrick Lennon leads discussion on Property Tax Appeals and Assessments

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) is pleased to announce that J. Patrick Lennon, a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, recently served as a panel member at an event sponsored by the Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtors and the Home Builders Association of Greater Kalamazoo. The panel discussed property tax appeals and assessments.

Lennon, who is located in Honigman’s Kalamazoo office, focuses his practice on real estate transactions, financing, leasing, affordable housing, government incentives, construction, land use, development and brokerage. He represents the interests of large corporations, real estate developers, builders and investors throughout Michigan and Florida.

He serves as counsel for the Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtors and general counsel for Southwestern Michigan Regional Information Center (SWMRIC). These organizations consist of more than 6,000 real estate agents throughout the State of Michigan. Lennon is a member of the Comm-PAC Steering Committee, a political action committee that promotes pro-business initiatives. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Michigan Bar Association’s Real Property Section, the Florida Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association’s Estates, Trusts and Real Property Section.

He was recognized in Best Lawyers in America in 2010 and 2011 and in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as an “Up and Coming” attorney in 2006 and 2007.

Lennon earned a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and a B.A., with honors, in Business from Michigan State University.
