Honigman’s adds Partner Michael K. Hauser to its Tax Practice Group
Michael K. Hauser has joined Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP as a partner in its Corporate Department’s Tax Practice Group. He brings nearly 10 years of experience as a tax attorney to Honigman and is located in the firm’s Oakland County office.
Hauser focuses his practice on federal taxation of real estate transactions, income tax planning, the formation and structuring of partnerships and corporate entities, federal and state tax audits and appeals, wealth transfer, and general tax issues. Before becoming an attorney, Hauser served small- to mid-sized businesses as a CPA.
He earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College. Currently, he is an adjunct professor in the Cooley Law School LL.M. program, where he teaches federal taxation of real estate and tax planning for troubled taxpayers. He is admitted to practice in Michigan.
