Honigman Announces New Corporate Partner, Nathan Howze, in its Chicago Office
Honigman LLP is pleased to announce that Nathan Howze has joined its Corporate Department as a Partner in the firm’s Chicago office. Howze focuses his practice on venture capital and private equity financings, M&A, startups and emerging companies. His experience includes serving as outside counsel to clients across a diverse breadth of industries including technology, food and beverage, cannabis, life sciences, airport concessions, and real estate. Named to the 2022 Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” list for Corporate Law, Howze has advised in the formation, financing, buying and selling of hundreds of established and emerging businesses.

Howze joins the firm from Chicago-based Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila LLP, where he served as a Partner in the Business Transactions Group. Howze earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business. He served as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Cannabis Law & Policy Committee and is a member of the ABA’s Business Law and Private Equity & Venture Capital committees. He is also a member of the Black Men Lawyers’ Association and was recently recognized as a 2022 National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 attorney in Illinois.
