Elias is an associate in the Real Estate department and focuses his practice on the acquisition, development, financing and disposition of real estate assets. He is experienced in negotiating and closing various forms of commercial real estate financing transactions, including the origination of commercial mortgage loans in the CMBS and CLO markets, as well as mezzanine financing transactions. He also represents real estate investors in connection with the structuring of joint ventures, partnerships and limited liability companies.


Representative Matters

  • Participated in the representation of a national bank on the financing of an office tower in New York City involving a mortgage loan and multiple layers of mezzanine loans, for an aggregate loan amount in excess of $1 billion
  • Represented a financial institution in connection with the origination of a mortgage loan in the amount of $400 million encumbering an upscale regional mall in Westchester County, New York
  • Counseled a national bank in connection with the origination of a construction loan financing the development of a data center in Silicon Valley
  • Represented a national bank in connection with the financing of multiple Class A office properties located in Sacramento, California, with loan amounts totaling in excess of $100 million
  • Closed a CMBS loan financing a portfolio of three luxury apartment buildings located in Los Angeles, California
  • Represented a debt fund in the origination of a bridge loan financing the acquisition and renovation of a pair of office buildings in Herndon, Virginia
  • Closed multiple CMBS loans financing portfolios of manufactured housing properties located in California and Arizona
