Overview

Dr. Richelle Cutler assists Honigman attorneys in securing cost-effective patents that provide strong exclusivity rights for life science innovations. She uses her expert knowledge of U.S. and international rules in drafting patent applications and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications for efficient patent procurement. She is skilled in managing multiple intellectual property portfolios, including coordinating patent prosecution with Honigman attorneys, in-house counsel, and foreign associates.

Dr. Cutler received her PhD from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Neuroscience Institute. Her dissertation is titled, “Genetic Analysis of Variation in Neuron Number”. Dr. Cutler did her post-doctoral research at Johns Hopkins, where she focused on discovering the mechanism of non-cell autonomous cone cell death in human retinitis pigmentosa using transgenic mouse models. Her research resulted in peer-reviewed publications, fellowships, and awards.

Dr. Cutler’s life science expertise includes:
