Overview

Madeline Greathouse is a commercial litigation attorney who focuses her practice on antitrust litigation, complex commercial litigation, and general corporate counseling and representation.

Madeline counsels her clients in all aspects of Hart-Scott-Rodino filings, and in coordinating global merger notification filings. She regularly advises clients on state-level premerger notification laws and specializes in those tailored to transactions involving healthcare entities. Working alongside Honigman’s corporate attorneys, Madeline also provides input to ensure clients’ transaction agreements and due diligence efforts conform with federal competition laws.

Madeline works with clients across industries, including private equity, healthcare, telecommunications, gaming, retail, railroads and transportation, and credit unions. Additionally, Madeline has experience in arbitration, contract disputes, and multidistrict litigations. Madeline’s experience includes:

  • Representation of medical centers in various state and federal antitrust litigations against competing hospital systems and individual practice groups.
  • Representation of telecommunications company in private antitrust litigation alleging a nationwide price-fixing cartel and conspiracy.
  • Representation of property management company in high profile nationwide class-action lawsuit alleging the use of algorithms to fix prices in violation of the Sherman Act.
  • Representation of two national wholesale mortgage lending companies in litigation against dominant market actor alleging violations of Sherman Act Sections 1 and 2.

Throughout her career, Madeline has leveraged her graduate-level English literature degree to develop strong arguments and to prepare persuasive work product to obtain ideal outcomes for the firm’s clients.
