Honigman Partner Brett A. Krueger named one of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s “Up and Coming” attorneys

Press Release

Brett A. Krueger, a partner in Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP’s Intellectual Property Department and Patent Practice Group, has been named one of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 20 “Up and Coming” attorneys. According to the publication, the attorneys who were chosen for this honor have practiced law for less than 10 years, distinguished themselves in their field of law and are poised for even greater things in the future.

“We are very pleased that Brett Krueger is receiving this great recognition,” said Jonathan P. O’Brien, Chair of Honigman’s Intellectual Property Department. “Brett joined Honigman from the Boston office of Fish & Richardson in 2010. He has proven to be a wonderful asset to our firm and has attracted major national companies to become Honigman clients.”

Before becoming an attorney, Krueger worked as an engineer and owned his own business, which helps him provide a unique perspective to his clients’ work. In his law practice, he counsels clients on identifying, evaluating, procuring, enforcing and licensing intellectual property rights, as well as the avoidance of infringement risks. In addition, he manages U.S. and worldwide patent portfolios for clients.

He earned a J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center, cum laude, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S., with high honors, in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
