Honigman Welcomes Complex Litigator Matthew Lasky to its Chicago Office
The strategic hire, following the addition of commercial litigator Seth Darmstadter, further strengthens the firm’s national litigation practice.
Chicago – Honigman LLP announced today that Matthew Lasky joined the firm as a partner in the Private Equity Litigation Practice Group of the Litigation Department.

Michael Huget, chair of Honigman’s Litigation Department. “Matt is an accomplished litigator with a strong record of success in complex matters. His experience adds meaningful depth to our team and further strengthens the sophisticated counsel we provide to clients across the firm.”
Lasky represents businesses and their investors in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions litigation, corporate control disputes and financial misconduct. His clients include private equity firms, portfolio companies, founders, and executives. He handles both affirmative claims and defenses involving post-closing indemnification, earn-outs, fiduciary duties, investor rights, and significant commercial contracts.

Lasky received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.A. from Emory University.
