Sarah E. Waidelich Named Among Michigan Lawyers Weekly's Influential Women of Law Honorees
Partner Sarah Waidelich was recognized by Michigan Lawyers Weekly among this year’s “Influential Women of Law” honorees. The award recognizes women attorneys and judges for their excellent work on behalf of the Michigan justice system and for their clients. It also recognizes their commitment to their communities and their service to the legal profession.
An intellectual property (IP) Partner, Sarah draws on her background in mechanical engineering to complement her work across the entire lifecycle of IP litigation. She is also a trusted mentor at the firm, where she formally and informally mentors junior attorneys, helping them navigate early careers and adjusting to life as working parents. Outside of her IP litigation practice, Sarah is passionate about improving Michigan’s justice system and giving back to the community through pro bono work. Drawing on clinical work from her time at the University of Michigan Law School, Sarah has led or been involved in a number of important child welfare cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court. She also volunteers as the youngest member of the Board of Trustees at Trine University, her alma mater. In the legal profession, she is on the Board of MothersEsquire, an organization dedicated to increasing the retention and promotion rates of women in the legal profession, particularly mothers.
