Honigman’s Leonard M. Niehoff is named a “Michigan Top Litigator” by Crain’s Detroit Business

Press Release

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP is pleased to announce that Len Niehoff, Of Counsel and Leader of the firm’s Appellate Advocacy Practice Group, has been named one of 14 “Michigan Top Litigators” in a special report by Crain’s Detroit Business.

In Crain’s report, Mr. Niehoff is recognized for his litigation prowess representing DTE before the Michigan Supreme Court, where he successfully argued that the company was entitled to millions in use tax exemptions. He was further recognized for his work to uphold firearms regulations at the University of Michigan, where he also serves as a law school professor.

According to Crain’s, these are the litigators driving the big verdicts, major settlements and interesting litigation around the state. “The cases in this report are the result of a subjective selection, but we believe they represent a cross-section of the cases that matter in the Michigan business community today.”

Mr. Niehoff has over 25 years of experience focusing in the areas of media law, higher education law and appellate litigation. He earned his J.D., from the University of Michigan Law School and received his B.A. from University of Michigan.
