Angela Alvarez Sujek is an experienced intellectual property attorney focusing her practice on trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution, and enforcement; advertising and marketing; licensing; and corporate transactions involving intellectual property assets. She handles intellectual property matters internationally and in the United States, including representing clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

• Represents clients in trademark disputes before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), under the Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), and before federal courts
• Counsels clients on trademark selection and protection, cost-­effective global trademark clearance and protection strategies, and trademark portfolio management
• Advises clients on website development and advertising issues, as well as domain name acquisitions, maintenance, and renewal
• Negotiates trademark and copyright license agreements and publishing and entertainment agreements
• Drafts sponsorship agreements for major brands
• Develops protection strategies for licensed goods
• Provides general corporate assistance with conducting due diligence regarding intellectual property assets in mergers and acquisitions, including assisting with the purchase and sale of intellectual property rights and developing employment and independent contractor agreements

• Has handled numerous contentious actions before the TTAB
• Successfully defended motion for preliminary injunction in trademark infringement suit
• Negotiated long-term exclusive trademark license for major footwear brand
• Represented premier automotive brand in connection with advertising issues and right of publicity issues arising in production of marketing piece
• Represented NFL team in trademark enforcement and right of publicity matters
