Denise Barnes joins Honigman’s Investigations and White Collar Defense Practice in Washington, D.C.
Honigman LLP is pleased to announce Denise Barnes has joined its Investigations and White Collar Defense Practice as a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Barnes will focus her practice on compliance, white collar and regulatory investigations, and complex commercial litigation.
“We are very excited to welcome Denise to our firm,” said J. Michael Huget, Chair of Honigman's Litigation Department. “She brings extensive experience in government investigations related to allegations arising under the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and FIRREA.”
Barnes formerly served as a Trial Attorney with the Fraud Section of the Commercial Litigation Branch for the U.S. Department of Justice. Ms. Barnes was also a litigation attorney with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCoy, LLP in Washington, D.C.
She earned her J.D. from the Howard University School of Law and B.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
