Honigman announced today that it will host the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) 2018 Spring Meeting’s Placemaking and Town Centers Council in its Detroit headquarters on Thursday, May 3.

The Urban Land Institute, which provides leadership in the responsible use of land and creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide, will host the semi-annual Placemaking and Town Centers Council (PMTCC) during its 2018 Spring Meeting. PMTCC is made up of senior-level decision makers influencing the real estate industry, which focuses on best practices for creating vibrant places where people can live, work and play with an emphasis on mixed-use retail development.

“Honigman is excited to welcome its friends and colleagues from the Urban Land Institute to Detroit for this year’s Spring Meeting,” said Pat Lennon, leader of Honigman’s Zoning and Land Use, and Industrial and Office practice groups as well as Urban Land Institute’s Chairman of the Western Region and member of ULI’s Executive Committee. “We are especially thrilled to share our firm’s expertise with our fellow attendees at the Placemaking and Town Centers Council.”

In addition to hosting PMTCC, Honigman is co-sponsoring the 2018 ULI Spring Meeting’s New Member Reception. The New Member Reception, which takes place this evening, May 2, is co-sponsored by the Richard and Jane Manoogian Foundation, PVS Chemicals, Inc. and The Suburban Collection.

The ULI Spring Meeting brings more than 3,000 attendees together, including leading developers, investors, architects, attorneys, consultants and planners. The annual meeting features world-class speakers as well as discussions on best practices between ULI’s most distinguished members.
