Honigman Announces New Real Estate Department Leadership

Honigman LLP is pleased to announce that J. Adam Rothstein and Lowell D. Salesin have been named co-chairs of the firm’s Real Estate department. Rothstein and Salesin both previously served as department vice chairs. In addition, Joel M. Krugel has been named vice chair and administrative partner of the department. The appointments follow the retirement of the department’s former chair of 20 years, Lawrence D. McLaughlin.

Rothstein has a practice that involves all aspects of real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on the retail and hospitality industries. He has built a national reputation and a national client base. Rothstein earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.

Salesin is an acknowledged leader in the real estate industry in Michigan and nationally.  He serves as lead counsel for REITs and some of the largest private real estate owners and operators in the country. Salesin earned his J.D., with high honors, from George Washington Law School.

Krugel’s practice encompasses all aspects of real estate law, with a particular focus on the retail real estate industry. He also serves as leader of the Lending and Finance practice group. Krugel earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
