Honigman attorney Stuart H. Teger contributes to authoritative book on construction litigation

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) is pleased to announce Stuart H. Teger, a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, has authored “Avoiding and Managing Construction Litigation,” a chapter in the recently published book Inside the Minds: Managing Construction Litigation. The book publisher is Aspatore Books, a Thomson Reuters business, which annually publishes more than 200 books and reports authored by C-Level executives and lawyers (CEO, CFO, CTO, CMO, Partner) from the world's most respected companies and law firms.

Teger’s chapter in Inside the Minds: Managing Construction Litigation reveals strategies for managing documentation, creating timelines and working with experts to help avoid construction litigation and/or help prepare for a law suit. Teger has a wide range of trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts throughout the county in the areas of construction, real estate, employment and commercial matters. In construction litigation, he has represented owners, general contractors and trade contractors in relation to bonds, liens, Miller Act and Little Miller Act claims, delay and acceleration claims, and claims relating to defective work.

Teger has been designated a 2009 “Best Lawyers in America” in construction and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association and serves on the American Arbitration Association Panel of Arbitrators. He earned his J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School and a Ph.D from the University of Rochester in Political Science.
