Honigman Elevates 12 Attorneys to Partner

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP is pleased to announce the firm’s board of directors has elected the following 12 attorneys as partners.

Bryan J. Beck is a member of the Corporate department and Finance practice group. He represents public and private companies and focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, debt financing, corporate governance, securities and business succession planning. Beck earned his dual J.D./M.B.A. degree from the Michigan State University College of Law and the Eli Broad College of Business.

Jason M. Fisher is a member of the Real Estate department and the Multifamily and Manufactured Housing practice group. He focuses his practice on acquisitions, financing, leasing, operations and dispositions, and represents owners and developers in the multifamily and manufactured housing, retail, office and industrial areas. Fisher earned his J.D. and LL.M in Taxation from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Brandon C. Griffith is a member of the Intellectual Property department and the Patent practice group. He focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of mechanical and electromechanical technologies. Griffith has an engineering background and earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.

Jeremy D. Lockhart is a member of the Litigation department and the Private Equity Litigation practice group. He concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, private equity transaction disputes, white collar and private equity internal investigations, and data security and e-Discovery matters. Lockhart earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.

Chao (Charley) Meng is a partner in the Corporate department and the Commercial Transactions practice group. He counsels clients on commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, reorganizations, creditor rights and financing. Meng speaks fluent Mandarin and represents clients with business activities involving China. He earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.

Derek R. Mullins is a member of the Litigation department and the Complex Commercial Litigation practice group. Mullins focuses his practice on a variety of matters related to state and federal procurement law, data security issues, and white collar crime and investigations. He earned his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.

Robert M. Riley is a member of the Litigation department and the Complex Commercial Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on commercial transactions and related litigation, shareholder and derivative actions, and corporate restructuring. He also serves on the firm’s Value Team. Riley earned his J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School, and his M.B.A. with high distinction, from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Drew Rosenberry is a member of the Corporate department and the Private Equity practice group. He concentrates his practice on complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, equity and debt financing, recapitalizations and executive compensation. Rosenberry earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law.

Jordan K. Schwartz is a member of the Corporate department and the Private Equity practice group. He advises privately and publicly held companies, private equity firms and their portfolio companies regarding mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring, corporate governance and general corporate matters. Schwartz earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School.

Gabrielle L. Sims is a member of the Corporate department and the Finance practice group. She focuses her practice on corporate governance, private and public securities offerings and compliance and disclosure under SEC rules and listing standards. Sims earned her J.D. from Howard University School of Law.

Joshua S. Weinberg is a member of the Real Estate department and the Industrial and Office practice group. He concentrates his practice on acquisitions and dispositions, shopping center and other redevelopment projects, affordable housing transactions, financing and leasing. Weinberg earned his J.D from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Alexander S. Whang is a member of the Corporate department and the Private Equity practice group. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, business formation and financing transactions for public and private companies. Whang earned his J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
