AN EVENING WITH WILLIAM TAUBMAN
Responding to the New Normal and Returning Vitality in Michigan’s Shopping Center Industry
William Taubman, Chief Operating Officer of Taubman Centers, Inc. and Chairman of ICSC, will discuss the shifting basis of retailer profitability and his views on opportunities for retailers to cater to the current demands in the market. In addition to discussing the Taubman approach to tenanting and management of its shopping centers in Michigan, including the re-branding and re-merchandising of Taubman’s Auburn Hills shopping center from Great Lakes Crossing to Great Lakes Crossing Outlets, Mr. Taubman will also offer his perspective on the reappearance of top-line growth for retailers and evidence of an increasingly positive outlook for improved occupancy rates and resumption of steady rental growth.
This ICSC educational, networking and mentoring program is specifically designed for retail real estate professionals who are seeking to develop their careers and build relationships in the shopping center industry. The Next Generation program offers retail real estate professionals the unique opportunity to meet and interact with their peers, share experiences, exchange ideas and advice in an interactive yet relaxed environment. Next Generation is also open to seasoned professionals who wish to give back to the industry. Members and non-members are welcome.
