Matthew Keuten focuses his practice primarily on advising clients in connection with healthcare regulatory, corporate, and transactional matters. A significant portion of his practice is dedicated to representing clients in a wide array of transactions involving information technology matters.

  • Represents clients in connection with affiliations, mergers, and acquisitions
  • Advises healthcare providers regarding compliance matters, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and state fraud and abuse laws
  • Drafts and negotiates commercial contracts related to information technology matters, including licensing agreements, hosting agreements, and hardware acquisition and maintenance agreements 
  • Counsels clients on health care licensure and certification issues 
  • Represents managed care companies with regard to provider enrollment, certification, and various other third-party payor issues 
  • Advises clients regarding data privacy and security matters, including HIPAA and HITECH issues 
  • Counsels clients on general corporate law matters and organizational issues


  • Assisted a large national Catholic healthcare system in various acquisition and divestiture transactions, including the acquisitions of hospitals, nursing facilities, and senior living facilities

  • Represented national provider of kidney care and renal products with various commercial contracts related to healthcare and information technology matters
