Alan Hurvitz is a real estate attorney with more than 30 years of experience representing developers, retailers, and investors in national real estate transactions and development projects, including commercial, residential, hotel, office, and industrial development and redevelopment, financing, joint ventures, leasing, management, and brokerage.

  • Counsels clients in structuring complex joint venture and financing arrangements
  • Represents the developers of residential subdivisions in all aspects of residential lot and condominium development
  • Counsels clients involved in or dealing with publicly held real estate investment trusts
  • Prepares condominium documents and counsels clients on the creation of traditional and site condominiums for both residential and commercial uses
  • Represents clients in the acquisition, finance, and sale of all property types, including, but not limited to, shopping centers, hotels, office buildings, industrial buildings, and mobile home parks


  • Counseled and represented a national shopping center developer in a transaction resulting in the developer controlling a NYSE real estate investment trust using an UPREIT structure
