Has a wide range of trial and appellate experience in federal and state courts throughout the nation.
Areas of litigation experience include construction, real estate, employment and commercial matters.
Extensive experience in construction litigation on behalf of owners, general contractors and trade contractors and involving bonds, liens, Miller Act and "Little Miller Act" claims, delay and acceleration claims and claims relating to defective work.
Represented several hospitals in connection with the construction of their facilities and against claims by contractors for additional compensation.
Represented a general/civil contractor asserting claims against a municipality with respect to construction of a water treatment plant on a multi-prime project.
Represented a road builder against its surveyor in a negligence/malpractice claim.
Represented the owners of several mixed-use complexes against claims for millions of dollars of extras by general and trade contractors.
Represented a general contractor against defective workmanship claims by an owner.
Real Estate Litigation
Represented several nationally known developers in matters which concerned the existence of contractual relationships involving major projects.
Represented the true owner against a financial institution in a case where a skillful felon forged various documents to make it appear that he owned the true owner's apartment complex and then borrowed millions of dollars and recorded a mortgage against the property.
Has successfully represented employers against numerous claims by employees (for race, gender and age discrimination).
Represented a nationally known turkey processor in a recall case. Obtained a court order "evicting" a patient from a local hospital.
Had a ship "arrested" (to enforce a maritime mortgage).
Represented one of the big three auto companies in dealer franchising cases throughout the country.
