Michigan-Based Honigman and China-Based ZhongHao Law Firms Sign Business Agreement

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman), based in Detroit, and the ZhongHao Law Firm, based in China, recently signed an agreement at a public signing ceremony in Chongqing, China to cooperatively assist companies with interests in establishing or increasing business pursuits in China and the United States. Chongqing is one of China’s most populated cities and a modern center for manufacturing. The event was attended by approximately 60 people representing the Chinese government agency Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission (COFTEC), local businesses and both law firms.

Honigman Partner Robert B. Weiss, Chair of the firm’s China Practice and its Commercial Law, Bankruptcy and Reorganization Department spearheaded the agreement to support cross-border transactions between China and the United States. Both firms are leading business law firms that assist multinational clients in a variety of industries by providing customized service and practical solutions to help companies attain their business goals.
