Overview

Certification as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) can provide considerable advantages to a business and open doors to new opportunities. Restrictions on ownership and control of MBEs often present significant structural challenges in forming joint ventures, obtaining financing, and completing acquisitions. We have a significant practice in the formation and representation of MBEs with experience in forming and structuring minority-owned joint ventures and other minority-owned companies.

Honigman has advised dozens of minority-owned ventures regarding formation, structure, financing and application for certification. We have extensive experience representing both ethnic minority owners of MBEs and nonethnic minority owners of MBEs. Our clients include many of the region’s most influential minority business owners.
