Lots of Talk, No Action

March 9, 2007
Law makers in Lansing are spending a lot of time talking about tax reform.  Speaker Dillon is meeting with business groups to discuss tax reform.  Governor Granholm is holding town hall meetings.  House Minority leader DeRoche has called for a vote on the 2% excise tax on services.  House Tax Policy Chair Bieda has said Administration's and other tax plans will come before the committee soon.  However, no committee meetings are scheduled and no action has been taken.
