Karl A. Hochkammer joins Honigman's Corporate and Securities Department

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) announced today that Karl A. Hochkammer has joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate and Securities Department and will work in its Detroit office. Hochkammer concentrates his practice on transactions in complex technology, information and business process outsourcing, re-structuring and re-negotiation, as well as representing clients in buying and selling technology goods and services.

Hochkammer received a J.D. from the Vanderbilt University School of Law, an LL.M. degree in Taxation from New York University and a B.A. from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and a council member of its Information Technology Law Section. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the International Technology Law Association, the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and the German-American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest.

In addition, Hochkammer has presented at many technology forums and contributed to publications in the field including, “Selling Products and Services and Licensing Software Online: An Interactive Guide with Legal Forms and Commentary to Privacy Security, and Consumer Law Issues,” American Bar Association, 2008 Cyberspace Law Committee, and “Don’t Even Think of a Merger without IT,” for the November 2008 issue of Computerworld magazine.

He joins Honigman from the law firm of Foley and Lardner LLP.
