June Summers Haas elected to board of Michigan Chamber of Commerce

Honigman is proud to announce that June Summers Haas, partner in the Tax Appeals Department, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce for a two-year term.  

Haas earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia, and has been a partner at Honigman since 2002.  Before joining Honigman, Haas served a three-year term as Michigan's Commissioner of Revenue.  She possesses extensive experience in advising clients nationwide on multistate tax strategies, resolving tax disputes, and litigating state tax cases, and is a nationally recognized expert on nexus issues.  Haas is a sought-after speaker on tax issues and is also an adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.  She currently resides in East Lansing, Michigan.  

As a Michigan Chamber board member, Haas will join in the Chamber's mission to improve the business climate, provide up-to-date legislative information to members, create jobs for Michigan citizens, and advocate policy that creates a pro-business economy.  With over 7,100 members based in each of the 83 Michigan counties, the Chamber captures a broad cross-section of Michigan industry.
