Honigman Partner Thomas W. Forster II earns Community Alliance Star Award

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP is pleased to announce that Thomas W. Forster II, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, will be honored by Community Alliance in Ypsilanti, Michigan with a Community Alliance Star Award. He is being honored for volunteering his legal services for one of the organization’s special projects, which helped preserve much needed affordable housing in the Ann Arbor area. Forster will receive the award on May 30 at the Community Alliance’s annual meeting.

Forster counsels clients on real estate matters, including the acquisition, sale, leasing and subleasing of commercial property; the negotiation of real estate equity investment partnerships and joint ventures; and the acquisition, financing, preservation and sale of affordable housing and other multifamily developments.

He has been named a “Rising Star” by Michigan Super Lawyers from 2008 through 2011. Forster is a member of the National, Michigan and Livingston County Associations of Realtors, the National Leased Housing Association, the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association and the Michigan Housing Council.

Forster earned a J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University School of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. He also received a B.G.S. from the University of Michigan.
