Honigman Partner Joshua F. Opperer receives Wetsman Award from Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) is pleased to announce that Joshua F. Opperer, a Partner in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Department, recently was honored for his community leadership with the Frank A. Wetsman Award given by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit (JFMD).

Opperer has been an active JFMD leader for nearly fifteen years, having served on its Board of Governors, and in numerous other leadership roles. He is or has been involved with several other local, national and international organizations, including The Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, AIPAC, Fresh Air Society, Frankel Jewish Academy and United Jewish Communities.

His professional accolades include being listed as a highly-recommended mergers and acquisitions attorney in the Legal 500 United States 2007, 2008 and 2009, named to Michigan Super Lawyers in 2009, recognized by Crain’s Detroit Business as one of Metropolitan Detroit’s “Forty under Forty” business leaders to watch in 2004 and named by the Detroit Regional Chamber as an “Emerging Business Leader” in 2003.
