Cyril Moscow Receives Career Achievement Award
Bloomfield Hills resident and accomplished business Attorney Cyril Moscow is one of nearly 4,000 members of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, but he is just one of four lawyers who will receive the Schulman Outstanding Business Lawyer Award at this year's annual meeting on September 26th at 5:45 p.m. at the Hotel Baronette in Novi, Mich.
"Cyril Moscow has been a scholar, teacher and counselor for scores of attorneys," said Moscow colleague David Foltyn, Partner at Honigman and Immediate Past Chairman of the State Bar of Michigan's Business Law Section Council. "His contribution to the development of Michigan corporation law and practice as well as his influence within the corporate Bar have been singular and enormous."
Cyril, a partner with Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn in Detroit, Mich., has advised business clients in corporate matters and securities transactions for over thirty-five years. He is an adjunct professor in Law at the University of Michigan and actively writes and lectures on corporate and securities law. Cyril has been chair of the Subcommittee on Business Corporation Act Revision for twenty-two years, is past chair of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and is recognized by Chambers USA America's Leading Lawyers for Business 2006 and by Best Lawyers in America 2006. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan.
The Schulman Award, in honor of influential Wayne State University Law Professor Stephen H. Schulman, was developed to annually commemorate an attorney who, over the course of his or her career, has consistently exemplified the characteristics the Business Law Section seeks to foster and facilitate, including: the highest quality of practice, utmost professionalism, unwavering dedication to service and commitment, and the promotion of ethical conduct and collegiality within the practice of law.
