Honigman’s Chris Tracy elected vice president of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ board
Chris Tracy, a Litigation Department partner at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, has been elected vice president of the Big Brothers Big Sisters’ board of directors in Kalamazoo. The Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mission is to help children reach their potential through one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.
Tracy is a litigation attorney who handles civil and criminal matters that include intellectual property disputes (patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets), complex corporate matters, commercial disputes, health care issues (False Claims Act and qui tam matters), environmental matters and the defense of criminal charges (white collar fraud, health care fraud and handling grand jury subpoena matters for corporate and individual clients). He represents businesses of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies and locally owned companies.
Tracy also serves on the board of Southwest Michigan First and has been a member of the organization since 2008. He recently served as the chair of the community campaign for the United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region. He is an emeritus board member of Ducks Unlimited, board member and past chair of the Kalamazoo Nature Center and co-chair of the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail Campaign Cabinet.
He earned a J.D., with honors, from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology and a B.A., with honors, from Michigan State University’s James Madison College.
