Tracy T. Larsen Anchors Firm’s Expansion into Grand Rapids

Tracy T. Larsen has joined Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP as co-chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions practice of the firm’s Corporate Department. He will be based in, and the managing partner of, the firm’s Grand Rapids office, the firm’s first office in the city.

Having one of the most active corporate practices in the Midwest, Larsen represents clients in a wide array of matters, including M&A, joint ventures, takeover defense, corporate finance transactions and restructurings, corporate governance and federal securities law issues. He has steered hundreds of transactions on both a domestic and international level involving tens of billions in trade value.

“Tracy’s addition to our firm will deepen our already robust M&A practice through working on complex transactions,” said David Foltyn, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Honigman. “His arrival is the latest step in our talent acquisition strategy as we both expand our footprint in Michigan and welcome one of the most respected and active M&A lawyers in the Midwest.”

Larsen’s clients have included major foreign businesses in their acquisition strategies throughout the United States, as well as U.S.-based corporations in domestic and cross-border deals. Serving as a chairperson emeritus of the Business Law Section of the Michigan State Bar, Larsen is also a prominent speaker on various topics of corporate law.

Larsen earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law in 1984 and graduated from Hope College with a B.A., summa cum laude, with a degree in economics.
