Honigman Partner Judy B. Calton Named Fellow by American College of Bankruptcy
Judy B. Calton, a partner at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, will be inducted as a Fellow by the American College of Bankruptcy. She joins a class of 30 nominees that is being honored and recognized for professional excellence and exceptional contributions to the field of bankruptcy and insolvency. She is the only honoree from Michigan and the rest reside in 18 other states and three foreign countries.

In her practice, Calton counsels banks, financial institutions, manufacturers and other clients in commercial law, corporate reorganizations and transactions. She has an extensive litigation background and is experienced in Michigan, New York and Delaware bankruptcy courts.
Regularly named to various top lawyer lists, Calton received the 2015 Turnaround Atlas Award for her role in the City of Detroit bankruptcy case. She also received the Unsung Hero Award from the State Bar of Michigan in 2012.
Calton earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School where she was a member of the Order of the Coif.
