Thirteen new attorneys join Honigman’s growing legal practices

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP is pleased to announce the addition of 14 new attorneys to our growing legal practices. All are anticipating admission to practice in Michigan.

Alex F. Bowman joins the Private Equity Practice Group of the Corporate Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. He earned a J.D. from the Wayne State University School of Law and received a B.A. in political philosophy, policy and law, and government from the University of Virginia.

Andrew S. Chipouras joins the Patent Practice Group of the Intellectual Property Department and is in the firm’s Kalamazoo office. He earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as an associate editor of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. He received a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Ian J. Cosgrove joins the Industrial and Office Practice Group of the Real Estate Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. He earned a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he was a member of the Notre Dame Law Review. He received a B.A. in both legal studies and English from the State University of New York at Fredonia.

Rian C. Dawson joins the Complex Commercial Litigation Practice Group of the Litigation Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. She earned a J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she was the notes and comments editor of the Indiana Law Journal and editor of IP Theory. She received a B.A. in the writing seminars and English from Johns Hopkins University.

Derek R. Mullins joins the Complex Commercial Litigation and White Collar Crime and Investigations practice groups of the Litigation Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. Derek advises clients on a variety of litigation matters, with a specialty in state and federal procurement law. He earned a J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law, where he was a member of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition Team and managing editor of the Columbia Journal of European Law. He received a B.S. in political science from Brown University.

Jennifer L. Muse joins the Labor and Employment Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. She earned a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the Michigan State Law Review. She received an M.M. in music from the University of Nebraska and a B.M. in music from the Baldwin Wallace University.

A. Rachel Myung joins the Private Equity Practice Group of the Corporate Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. She earned a J.D. from the Wayne State University Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law in Society. She received a B.A. in political science and women's studies from the University of Michigan.

David Rabinovici joins the Private Equity Practice Group of the Corporate Department and is in the firm’s Ann Arbor office. He earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan, where he was an editor of the Michigan Business and Entrepreneurial Law Review. He received a B.A. in business from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Andrew T. Schmid joins the Patent Practice Group of the Intellectual Property Department and is in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office. He earned a J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) and a B.S. in general engineering from the University of Illinois.

Christopher S. Sesi joins the Retail Practice Group of the Real Estate Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. He earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was executive technology chair of the Michigan Business and Entrepreneurial Law Review. He received a B.A. in economics from Wayne State University.

Gina M. Shkoukani joins the Trusts and Estates Practice Group of the Corporate Department and is in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office. She earned a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where she was the executive articles editor of the Journal of Law and Society. She received a B.A. in criminal justice from Wayne State University.

R. Travis Simon joins the Private Equity and Finance groups of the Corporate Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. He earned a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.A. in philosophy and history from Baylor University.

Brian D. Towne joins the Commercial Transactions Practice Group of the Corporate Department and is in the firm’s Detroit office. He earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. in international relations from the James Madison College of Public Affairs at Michigan State University.
