Honigman Grows New Ann Arbor Office - New associate is added to firm's Corporate and Securities Department
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP today announced that Richard D. Hoeg has joined the firm as associate in the Corporate and Securities Department. Hoeg will practice in the firm's new Ann Arbor office. In addition to his other Corporate and Securities work, Hoeg will provide counsel as a part of Honigman's Private Equity and Venture Capital Practice Group.
"Rick brings experience in corporate and securities law; mergers and acquisitions and in working with technology-based companies," said David Parsigian, partner in Honigman's Corporate and Securities Department and managing partner of the firm's Ann Arbor office. "Our new office is committed to growing the local economy and Rick will be involved in Honigman's efforts to serve the needs of Ann Arbor's business community."
Most recently, Hoeg served as associate in the Corporate and Securities Department in the Ann Arbor office of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone P.L.C., where he worked closely with Parsigian, who joined Honigman in January 2007. A magna cum laude graduate, Hoeg received his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Mich.
Opening in the first quarter of 2007, Honigman's Ann Arbor office will provide a full range of business-related legal services, including support for the firm's Private Equity and Venture Capital Practice Group. The Group represents private equity funds and investors in a wide variety of transactions throughout the United States including tax structuring, complex negotiations, financing and the execution of acquisitions and investments.
